Video for Windows compatible video equipment. This includes the popular Connectix Color QuickCam ( greyscale model is incompatible).

General

Video for Windows compatible

CamShot will work with any video equipment that comes with Video for Windows drivers. This includes most popular video conferencing cameras. 

Http server

Use the HTTP server to download files, get directory listings and serve up web pages!  

FTP and RAS autodial

New in version 2.1, CamShot can be configured to automatically dial up an FTP server, transfer the latest images and then hang up - all fully unattended! 

Security

CamShot supports password and username protection on web pages, captured images and loading of the remote configuration applet. 

Scheduling

You can schedule timeslots and snap rates. Eg. From 5.00 PM to 6.00 PM every Wednesday take a snapshot every 5 seconds. Then continue with the normal snap rate of a shot every 10 minutes. 

Remote configuration

CamShot can be configured remotely by any Java enabled Web Browser. 

Timestamping

If enabled, images are saved with a time and date stamp on them. 

Image file maintenance

You can set CamShot to save as many images you want. Eg. To save disk space you may set CamShot to only keep the 10 most recently captured images, or you may save one image every minute for the whole day! 

Pre built Web pages

CamShot comes with several pre-built HTML files that will allow you to view multiple timestamped images on the same web page!
