pdfScanMachine does one thing really well - produces a PDF from a scanner.

The pdfMachine viewer is displayed upon scan completion allowing easy PDF editing, emailing or archiving.

All editions of pdfMachine ship with pdfScanMachine.

Multipage Support

If your scanner has a automatic document feeder then a multiple page PDF can be produced.

If the pdfMachine viewer window is open then the scanned image is automatically appended to the PDF in the open viewer.

JBIG2 compression

pdfScanMachine supports JBIG2 compression for black and white image scans. The resulting PDF files are very small, typically 3 to 5 times smaller than other competing compression techniques.

Your scan settings are remembered

When a WIA driver is used, pdfScanMachine will remember your previous scan settings so you don't have to continually reset your scanner settings. Just click the scan button and you are away.

WIA Driver support

WIA drivers have broad support by most scanner manufacturers.

TWAIN driver support

If no WIA driver can be found pdfScanMachine reverts to TWAIN driver mode.

Auto Deskew

If the scanned page is placed a little off square in the scanner, pdfScanMachine will automatically rotate or "de-skew" the image.
